Tax-Credits_WhiteThe American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 extended the non-business energy property tax credit through 2013. The roof tax credits 2013 will benefit home owners by saving money and energy. Cool roofs save an average of 7-15% of total cooling costs. Energy Star qualified roof products maintain a more constant temperature, reduce thermal shock and may help to extend the life of the roof. The following shingles are included in the Energy Star qualified roof products; Timberline Cool Series in all colors, Timberline HD and Timberline Ultra HD in White, and Royal Sovereign in White.

VELUX Skylights Tax Credit

The VELUX Solar Powered Fresh Air Skylights as well as VELUX Solar Powered Blinds qualify under “Solar Electric Property” expenditures when purchased up to December 31st, 2016. Home owners can receive a 30% tax credit on the skylight and 30% tax credit on the solar blinds.
